THSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail) 700T operated between Taipei and Kaohsiung was manufactured based on Series 700 Shinkansen which is in service on Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines in Japan. It is the first Shinkansen which has advanced abroad. It is characterized by the nose shorter than the Japanese Series 700 and by the orange belt stretching from the nose of the top car. THSR 700T operates in a 12 car train at the maximum speed of 300 km per hour.
